As I probably already told you my garden is in the city centre of Lucca...once many ancient buildings had their own gardens and when the palaces had only one owner each family had its own garden or yard....
...now the buildings are divided in apartements so the gardens have often more than only one owner...
...that's what appened with my garden too....I have a part of it that's a little bit wider than a large terrace...
...of course I've not the possibility to plant high trees or big plants...but I can try to decorate it as a sort "of outdoor living room"...the owner of the other part of the garden is a strange lady who doesn't take care of it...she says that she likes its wild look...the truth is that her garden is weedy and abandoned...I usually say that my garden has a dual personality!
May be one day I'll show you some images of my neighbor's disaster!
Thanks for your alway so lovely comments...they make my days! Sorry if I could't visit you during this week end...I had problems with my internet connection...
but now it seems to work! I'm back!
A nice new week to you!

Ciao Vale!!! bhè sarà anche piccolino come dici tu, ma il tuo giardino mi sembra incantevole!!!! Ti vedo seduta al tavolo a sfogliare riviste con una tazza di tè...freddo vista la calura!!!
Buona settimana!!
Mara
Good morning Vale!
Having had the incredibly good fortune to visit your garden in person...I can attest to the fact that the garden owned by the strange lady who completely abandoned it, is in sharp contrast to your lovingly tended little piece of paradise! And she must be strange, to say the least, to refuse your offer to tend to her side. When you stand back to look at them as a whole it does look a bit schizophrenic...but when you are in your side you feel like you are in a secret garden...it is a sparkling little gem...all the more special next to the wildness!
Does the tree she chopped off have any more sprouts? You are always so charitable and keep your charming sense of humor! I love the bed in the garden...it is all so inviting! Take care, Laura
Hi Vale
What a pretty garden you have, it must be so lovely to dine here or to lay down on your day bed with a good book.
Sharon
wow io abito a san giuliano terme e scopro che queste meraviglie provengono da lucca!! 0_0

Vale il tuo giardino è spettacolare! Io sogno un posto così!! Speriamo in futuro!
Buona giornata e buona settimana,
Fede.
It is beautiful!!!
E allora ben tornata carissima!!!
I would rather see the beauty that you have created!! what an ideal spot!
Graziosissimo nonostante sia piccolo, l'atmosfera che hai creato è magica!
Mi raccomando, postaci alcune foto dell'altra metà, sono curiosa!!
Ciao
Giulia

Dear Vale,
it does not depend on the size of the garden - the garden should be inviting - and this is your garden - it really is like a cozy and beautifully decorated room in the country - on the pictures from the neighboring garden, I'm curious - have a nice week - Ruth

Hi Vale!!
It's beautiful in your little garden!! So lovely......
Ha ve a nice week!!
Your garden always looks so spacious, I really thought it was very large! You've made it look so comfortable...I love how you've decorated it for outdoor living! And, of course, the flowers everywhere are so beautiful, too:-)
Hope you're having a great start to summer!

hugs Kerstin
Maybe small but very beautiful! I spend some time in your blog now, and so many wonderful pictures! I hope it is ok that I add your blogg to my blogg roll...
I love your garden! I like how you have made it a beautiful setting. I would like to put a antique crib outside for the summer and look at it's beauty like you have done with your day bed. I know how it may make you feel un happy about your neighbor not taking care of her side of the yard. I am a avid gardener and when others tell me I am crazy I just think to myself I rather be crazy than lazy!!!! The pain from gardening is my gain in beauty with mother nature. XO MARY
Hi Vale, What a relaxing place to rest! And the flowers are beautiful. I luv the hydregas they are so pretty. Have a good day and sorry your internet was down....Julian

Hi Vale, your garden may be small but it's a wonderful and dreamy place to relax. What a shame that your neighbor neglects her part of the garden.
Have a lovely day!

Annelie
Gosh Vale I can't say enough just how much I love your white day bed in your little paradise garden!
It looks so very awesome from every angel!!!
But oh well I can't believe that you have to share your garden with someone who is neglecting her side, what a pitty for you!
And I was sometimes already complaining that my right hand neighbors don't share my style, but at least they cultivate their garden, so now you make me think that I can be quite lucky about it.
Nevertheless happy garden time wishes to you!
xoxo~ Carola
