...my hands are covered by scratches but I enjoyed working a new material and being my first time...I'm satisfied!

Petit jardin d'hiver

My garden is not very welcoming now...it's always covered by a coat of falling leaves from the big trees...I try to keep it tidy I must accept that it's going to sleep!


















I created a little garden at home in a wooden crate...

Cutlery fabric rolls

We're busy making new items for our web-shop and for the Xmas markets we're going to do...

















...we added to the red cutlery-roll, ecru and black and white ones...they both are in Toile de jouy and vintage cotton...




















...we like toile de Jouy in any shade of colours!

Decorations...not only for Christmas!

I can't feel the Christmas atmosphere yet...we still have sunny days and 20°...but I'm preparing something new for the December markets and for LC....

Vintage hemp and old finds

Some more old stuff from Rose...we are very excited to have found more than 30 meter of vintage hand-hoven hemp...it has been a great surprise finding it in an old trunk in the loft...


















...many skeins of yarn hemp...surely we cannot weave them but they're so decorative...

















...an old wooden cast, vintage hangers and the old bag once used in the country and now perfect on the beach...


















...old glass jars, bottles and flasks...they are going to be etched for a new life...

















...white ceramic jars...salt, sugar and pepper...all new old items for LC...
We finally ceated a new category in our web-shop..."L'armoire de Rose"...old linen and projects made from vintage fabrics!

Rose 2...

Further treasures from Rose...I have many photo to take...

















...most of the old enamelware was in the bedrooms...

...some hand-woven hemp rugs...they have a very nice honeycomb texture and they measure about 150x108...I've so many other finds to add to LC...I think to create a new category in my web-shop dedicated to Rose...

Rose...

Rose was an old lady who passed away last year at the age of 93...she never got married and she kept the memories of her farmer-family. Her hiers don't appreciate her old suff, so we (Paola and I) had the opportunity to hunt in her home and loft finding hidden treasures...

















...when we went up in the loft we found two big wooden trunks filled of precious stuff...

















...more than 20 sheets of hand-woven hemp...they've never been used and they are in perfect conditions....

















...lots of hemp grain-sacks all hand-hoven...some of them have several patches because mouses often gnawed them in the barn...what's incredible for me it's that those women, after working all day long in the fields (they grew also their own hemp) they spun and wove the canvas by candlelight during the night...

















...we also found this old white terrine...

















...and some religious pictures in old frames...
This is only a little part of what we have bought for LC...we have lots of work now...washing and iron all the linen, taking photos, add the items in the web-shop...but it's always exciting finding old treasures which tell us stories of past times...I'll show you more finds in the next posts!

Bulbs and moss

First bulbs of the season...I bought the vase at the last antique market and I etched it...I'll show you the decorations in a better photo...

A very exciting Saturday for LC...we bought lots of old stuff from the heirs of an old lady....old linen, grain saks, enamelware.....I'll show you in the next posts!!!

New transparencies

I had two long shelves in the kitchen...they were brown and I hated them...
