Today is my birthday...I celebrate it in a different way this year...no parties or dinner out...

...I'm going to Barcelona for lunch with my friends tomorrow...thanks to the low-cost flights a one day trip abroad is cheaper than a trip to the beach...









I'm sure we'll have fun together...a woman's day of shopping and laughs in a wonderful city...Barcelona we are arriving!!!!

Flowers game

Thank you all for your kind suggestions about my birdcages! I sincerely don't know if I leave them in their original colour or if I paint them...it'll depend from my mood!

I'd like to have the possibility to clean and decorate this part of the garden! I've tried to tell the owner...but as I already told you...she is a very strange lady and she refused!!!!

Newspaper seeding pots and game!

I've been too optimistic about my internet connection...I'm still having problems with it...it works...sometimes!!!
Anyway...a friend gave me some seeds...

















...I sowed some of them directly in the soil...

















...but I hadn't success...may be because of the strong rains...

















...then I tried in newspaper pots...and that's the result!!!
I'm not very clever with seeds...they oftent don't germinate...but I have to learn...so... much more seeds in paper pots!
May be it's a bit late...but I want to try!

Garden

As I probably already told you my garden is in the city centre of Lucca...once many ancient buildings had their own gardens and when the palaces had only one owner each family had its own garden or yard....

















...now the buildings are divided in apartements so the gardens have often more than only one owner...

















...that's what appened with my garden too....I have a part of it that's a little bit wider than a large terrace...

















...of course I've not the possibility to plant high trees or big plants...but I can try to decorate it as a sort "of outdoor living room"...the owner of the other part of the garden is a strange lady who doesn't take care of it...she says that she likes its wild look...the truth is that her garden is weedy and abandoned...I usually say that my garden has a dual personality!
May be one day I'll show you some images of my neighbor's disaster!

Linen pillows...

Finally I found the time to finish these cushion covers...

















...they are made of pure linen and printed with vintage labels...

















...the biggest one is in two different fabrics...ecru and white...

















...the little one is in a lighter white linen...

I've been a bit lazy on the past months...not so many new items for my webshop...I'm losing part of my creativity...days are often too hectic...
...I have to find more time to do what I like!

Today is holiday is Italy! We celebrate the republic...
The Italian Republic was born in 1946 following the results of the first institutional referendum of 2 June, held to determine the choice between monarchy and republic after the end of the II World War. It has been the first time women could vote in Italy!

















Everywhere calebrations take place...the most important is in Rome...a very long military and civil parade which ends with the performance of the the achrobatic patrols the Frecce Tricolori!
