Cages

I'm in love with birdcages...

...that's strange for me because I'm phobic of birds...

...I've painted and patined some of my cages

...I like to arrange them in every room...

...these are in my kitchen....they create a charming atmosphere...

...I don't know what to do with these ones on my kitchen cabinet yet...original colour or patina??? Have you any suggestions????

Che belle queste gabbie, vorrei tanto averne una anch'io! Le ultime due le lascerei così come sono, hanno quell'aspetto shabby che adoro!

It's not so strange, because there are no birds in the cages....and this cages are lovely! And my colours or suggestions? Grey or white!

Have a sunny day! Lovely greetings, Ingrid

Hi Vale

I too love bird cages as a piece of decoration, to use just as you have. Not to have birds in though. I like birds to be free, I feel sad for them when I see them trapped.

I like the way you have arranged the bird cages, they look lovely in white.

Warm wishes

Oh Vale they look AWESOME in white and I so love these kind of bird cages (and I love birds too, but not in cages, I prefere them flying in my garden lol) and I try to find them here, but had no luck at all. A friend was so nice to gave me a spare one she had once. Okay so my suggestion is:
Just send them to me and I promise I'll take good care of them and give them a good home! How does that sound?

I´m in love with your cages too *big smile*
And I agree with you - I rather have my cages empty, without birds in it. And to decorate it with other lovely things instead.
Today the sun is shining here and it almost feels like summer....
Take care!

Hi Vale,
such a beautiful light in your pictures! Do you have mostly wooden cages or also iron cages in your collection? They are nice decoration-items, lovely with little lights in it during Christmastime, I guess :)
And in Summertime great with some flowerarrangements...
Love, Marjolijn

Hi Vale,
I, too love bird cages. My grandfather raised parakeets so there were many old bird cages at the farm house. Although the cages that you have painted look beautiful...I vote to leave those two on top of our kitchen cabinet just as they are!
Have a great day!

I love your birdcages, here in sweden its not easy to get hold on old ones. So I have some new but in an old style.
The cages on your kitchen cabinet I would leave as they are, I think they are a nice contrast to the white.
Take care

Dear Vale,

the pictures of our own garden are so beautifully and your decoration too!
It is sad that your neighbour is not able to make her garden to a little paradise as yours.

Our garden is small and only some months old and the neighbour on the right side has a bigger garden than ours but he has no time for his garden place and so it looks the same as the one frome your neighbour. I would be happy if I could include his garden to ours but this is not possible.

lots of greetings,
Tanja

Hi Vale, You've got a great collection of bird cages! I love them too but couldn't find one yet that would have been reasonable priced. It's hard to decide wether they would look better if they were painted. I'd probably go for painted but maybe a little bit of contrast is not so bad either.
Have a lovely evening!
Hugs,
Julia
