Now that days are shorter, I spend less time outside... and because I'm always overactive, the only way for relaxing is making something new for me and for LC...



















...today it's been the day of "hearts and pampilles"...

















...I used vintage fabrics from my grandmother's trousseau...

















...transfers...

















...ribbons and old laces...













...new decorations made with old materials...a way to remember who passed away!

Lemons

When I waked up this morning I enjoyed the sunrays on the new plant of lemon I bought...it's small but it already has 3 fruits...













...I've picked some other lemons from a friend's garden...


















...I adore the fragrance of citrus and their flowers...















...they reminds me sunny and warm days in the South of Italy...













....I'll candy their peels and dip them in dark chocolate...a sweet break for grey days!

A faboulous surprise today! I've received a nice parcel from Germany...from my friend Tanja!





















...it's a pity you cannot smell the faboulous fragrances of her lovely handmade stuff...

















...her cotton sacks are so nicely decorated....the calender of the next years and the Xmas song...

























...the sweet vintage photos...each detail is so charming! She also sent me two faboulous German magazines...I cannot understand a word but the photos are so inspiring!

Do you rember the old wooden crate I bought in France for LC??













...I like the advertisement on it...so I made this stenciled cushion...it measures 50x70 and it's in a heavy natural linen...















it has been a long work cutting the template but I like the result...

Paper lanterns

I've taken the idea of these easy to make lanterns from Marjolijn...

















...I printed the text of Les Feuilles Mortes/ Autumn Leaves on the paper...I love that song...

Garden

Late Summer and Autumn plants...it's so nice spending time in the garden even in this season...my Impatiens in the background is still blooming...it's a very generous plant...

Taking inspiration from Bea I made some paper "pampilles"...

















...I'm making new stuff for Christmas...

















...but I want something that isn't only for that day! I'd like to make decorations that can be used during all the year...

















...and because I haven't too much time in the last weeks I choose something easy and quick to make!

Meringues

I've tried many times to make meringues...I've made so many recipes...


















...everytime it was a disaster...

















...I had renounced...













...few days ago, reading a post of Manon 21 I decided to try again...I was sure in another disaster...may be it's something wrong between meringues and me, I thought...but this time...waw...I couldn't believe it! Thank you Manon!

An old little book...an old photo wich such important men...a so nice bookmark, threads in natural shades, a so pretty card, candies and a delicious chocolate...I immediately tasted it! Mmmm....

Wednesday's thrift shop

When I'm tired I need to relax doing what I like most...I had an headache after work but it was a very sunny day so I decided to go out and I went to the thrift shop...


















...I found these two zinc tubs for my garden at a very good price...zinc is quite expensive in Italy...I could't resist...

















...I planted some pansies in the smallest one...

















...I need some plants for the bigger tub, but it's still too hot for Autumn flowers...I've to wait that the new season decides to arrive not only on the calendar!
